How do I solve for the variable? 3 (x-14) + 1 = - 4x + 5

    3· (x - 14) + 1 = - 4·x + 5

    3·x - 42 + 1 = - 4·x + 5

    3·x - 41 = - 4·x + 5

    7·x - 41 = 5

    7·x = 46

    x = 46/7
