    -4a+6x-4c+6y-4b

    -4a - 4b - 4c + 6x+6y

    factor out 4 from the a b c terms and 6 from the x y terms

    -4 (a+b+c) + 6 (c+y)

    a+b+c = - 9 so replace a+b+c with - 9 and x+y = 8 so replace x+y with 8

    -4 (-9) + 6 (8)

    36 + 48

    84
