    We will use the Pythagorean Theorem:

    CD² + 6² = (2√34) ²

    CD² + 36 = 136

    CD² = 136 - 36

    CD² = 100, CD = 10

    And then again:

    AD² = 10² + 12²

    AD² = 100 + 144

    AD² = 244

    AD = √244 = √ (4·61) = 2√61

    Answer: C) 2 square root of 61
