The length of a rectangle is 11m more than twice the width, and the area of the rectangle is 63m^2. find the dimensions of the rectangle.

    (7/2) m is the width and 18m is the length. This is because area is lxw. let w = width and length=11+2wMultiply together, get 2w^2+11w-63=0factor to get (2w-7) (w+9). Find w and get w=7/2 and w=-9Negative rejected because a measurement can't be negative. Finally substitute that into the length equation (11+2w) to get 18m and width is 7/2 m
