The expression in term of x

The amount of money spent on bus fare = $2 x

    The amount of money spent on entertainment = $ (2 x - 3)

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given statement as:

Matt spent twice as much on bus fare as he did on lunch

Matt spent $3 less on entertainment than on bus fare

Let The Amount of money spend on lunch = $x

    Now, According to question

The amount of money spent on bus fare = twice as he spent on lunch

    i. e The amount of money spent on bus fare = 2 * $x

∴ The amount of money spent on bus fare = $2 x

    Again

The amount of money spent on entertainment = The amount on bus fare - $3

    I. e The amount of money spent on entertainment = $2 x - $3

    ∴The amount of money spent on entertainment = $ (2 x - 3)

Hence, The expression in term of x

The amount of money spent on bus fare = $2 x

    The amount of money spent on entertainment = $ (2 x - 3)
