The sum of two complex numbers, where the real numbers do not equal zero, results in a sum of 34i. Which statement must be true about the complex numbers?

    a+bi

    a=real part

    bi=complex part

    results in a sum of 34i

    aka

    0+34i

    the sum of 2 complex numbers a+bi+c+di is 34i

    therefor

    a+c=0 and bi+ci=34i

    aka

    a=-c

    b+c=34

    well, the real parts of the complex numbers must be negative of each other and the complex parts must add to 34 should be somewhere around the answer
