    Tickets for a baseball game are $69 for Main Level seats and $39 for Terrace Level seats. A group of 16 friends went to the game and spent a total of $804 for the tickets. How many Main Level tickets and how many Terrace Level tickets did they buy?

    No. of Main Level tickets = X

    No. of Terrace Level tickets = 16 - X

    Main Level tickets prace = 69X

    Terrace Level tickets prace = 39X

    total price = 804 = 39 (16 - X) + 69X = 624 - 39X + 69X = 624 + 30X

    30X = 804 - 624 = 180

    X = 180/30 = 6

    No. of Main Level tickets = X = 6

    No. of Terrace Level tickets = 16 - X = 16 - 6 = 10

    Check: 39x10 + 69x6 = 390 + 414 = 804
