    Vertex form is f (x) = a (x - h) 2 + k, where (h, k) is the vertex of the parabola.

    f (x) = 8x² - 8x + 2

    f (x) = 8 (x² - x) + 2

    f (x) = 8 (x² - x + 1/4) + 2 - 2

    f (x) = 8 (x - 1/2) ²
