    Sin x + 2 cos x = 0

    sin x = - 2 cos x / : cos x (we will divide both sides by cos x)

    sin x / cos x = - 2

    tan x = - 2

    x = tan^ (-1) ( - 2)

    Answer:

    x = - 63.6 ° = - 63° 36 '

    or x = 296° 24 '
