Fill the 3 cup bucket

pour into 5 cup bucket

fill 3 cup bucket again

pour into 5 cup bucket until 5 cup bucket is full

now you have 1 cup in the 3 cup bucket

empty 5 cup bucket

pour the 1 cup from the 3 cup bucket into the 5 cup bucket

fill the 3 cup bucket

pour into the 5 cup bucket

done

Get a measuring cup and measure 4 cups out of the 5
