Solve the system of equations - 4x + 3y = - 2 y = x - 1

    You can use the substitution method.

    Plug in x-1 to the first equation and solve.

    -4x+3 (x-1) = - 2

    -4x+3x-3=-2

    -x=1

    X=-1

    You then plug x into one of the original equations and solve

    Y=-1-1

    Y=-2

    Answer: (-1,-2)
