    The height is 5.916079783

    Step-by-step explanation:

    shadow=17

    top of tree to end of shadow = 17 + 1

    =18

    a^2=c^2-b^2

    a^2=18^2-17^2

    a^2=35

    a=5.916079783 * remember to round if necessary
