    Terry is making 6 hat and scarf sets. To solve for the total feet of material needed for all 6 hats and 6 scarfs, we need the requirement for each scarf and each hat.

    2 yards of material is needed for each scarf;

    18 inches of material is needed for each hat

    18 inches is equivalent to 1.5 feet

    2 yards is equivalent to 6 feet

    For 6 hats: 6 * 1.5 feet = 9 feet

    For 6 scarfs: 6 * 6 feet = 36 feet

    Total = 45 feet
