    The probability of spinning an A on the first spinner is 1/4 = 0.25

    Since there is 1 outcome we want (landing on A) out of 4 total outcomes (A, B, C, D)

    Similarly, the probability of landing on Z is 1/5 = 0.20

    There is 1 outcome we want (Z) out of five total (V, W, X, Y, Z)

    Multiply the two probability values. This multiplication is only possible because the two events are independent. This is an important condition.

    So multiplying the values gets us 0.25*0.20 = 0.05 = 5%

    Answer: 5%

    Side Note: 1/20 = 0.05 = 5%
