    Given that Fabio earns 12% commission for every sales he makes, the total amount he earned for selling a TV that cost $550 and VCR for $400 will be:

    commission=[percentage commission]/100*[total amount sold]

    total amount sold=550+400=$950

    commission=12/100*950

    =$114

    therefore he earned $114 as commission

    We find the total commission earned by calculating the amount of commission he earned in each sale and then finding their sum. Price of TV = $550 Commission = 12% Amount of Commission earned = (12/100) * 550 = $66 Price of VCR = $400 Commission = 12% Amount of Commission earned = (12/100) * 400 = $48 Total Commission earned = $66 + $ 48 = $114
