Solve for x. - 2 (16 - 4x) - 8 = 6 (x + 2)

-32 + 8x - 8 = 6x + 12
8x - 40 = 6x + 12
8x = 6x + 12 + 40
8x = 6x + 52
8x - 6x = 52
2x = 52
x = 52/2
x = 26
