A jar contains a mixture of 20 black marbles, 16 red marbles, and 4 white marbles, all the same size. find the probability of drawing a white or red marble on the first draw.

    There is a 50% chance of pulling a white OR red marble on the first try because there are a total of 40 marbles and 16+4 is 20 which makes up half of the marbles in the bag.
