Two classes have a total of 50, students. One of the classes has 6 more students than the other. How many students are in the larger class.

    X + y = 50 ... (1)

    x = y + 6 ... (2)

    So, y + 6 + y = 50 = > 2y = 44 = > y = 22

    x = 50 - 22 = 28

    larger class = 28
