    Part A: To find the amount of the discount multiply the regular price by the amount of the discount:

    80 x 20% = 80 x 0.20 = 16

    The discount is $16

    Part B:

    20% off means she would be paying 80% of the original price (100% - 20% = 80%)

    Multiply the regular price by 80%:

    120 x 80% = 120 x 0.80 = 96

    She will pay $96
