A because one time fees for a phone upgrade or initial phone are just one time. Look at the monthly fees instead would you rather pay more each month or less each month? If answer is less A is the best choice even though in the beginning you need to pay more.

Plan B is a better phone plan

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Step 1-

    Plan A-

    $40 + $20x=y

    x - months

    y - total

$40 plus $20 per month would give you the total

    Plan B-

    $30x=y

    x - months

    y - total

For Plan B you pay $30 a month for the total and the phone is free so you don't add anything to it.

    Step 2-

Substitute x for different values to see how much it would cost for the phone plan per month

    Plan A-

    40+20 (1) = 60

So for 1 month it is $60

    40+20 (2) = 80

    So for 2 months it's $80

    Plan B-

    30 (1) = 30

So for 1 month it would be $30

    30 (2) = 60

So for 2 months it would be $60

Plan B would be the best plan because it is the cheapest and you get a free new phone
