One half equals what

One half would equal 0.5 in decimal and in 1/2 in a fraction. On a calculator you could put the number one and divide it by 2 and it would give you 0.5 or you don't have to put the zero, like for example it could just be. 5 but what I'm trying to say is that in fraction one half would be 1/2 and in decimal 0.5 (.5)
