you know all the angles amount to 360 degrees in the rhombus. I will give you one more clue: Opposite angles are equal so:

Angle 1=Angle 2 and Angle 3=Angle 4 (which is not drawn)

Then, angle 2 = angle 1=140,

If angle 1=angle 2 = 140, how much is angle 1+angle 2

60 and 80 which equals 140

That's because angle 3 is half of 40 (it's 20). Notice the line going through the middle of the shape, the angle labeled 3 is only talking about half of the full corners angle, it's only asking for the bottom half of that angle.
