    Equation: 3 (x - 2) + 4x = 10 (x + 1)

    Solution:

    3 (x - 2) + 4x = 10 (x + 1)

    = 3x - 6 + 4x = 10x + 10

    By adding the - 10x - 10 on both sides of equation:

    = 4x + 3x - 10x - 6 - 10 = 10x + 10 - 10x - 10

    = 4x + 3x - 10x - 6 - 10 = 0

    = 4x - 7x - 16 = 0

    = 3x - 16 = 0

    = 3x = 16

    By dividing 3 on both sides of equation:

    = x = 16/3

    = x = 5.333

    x = 5.3333
