Three-fifths of the members of the Spanish club are girls. There are a total of 30 girls in the Spanish club. Which statements can be used to solve for x, the total number of members in the Spanish club?

    We know:

    g = (3/5) x

    AND

    g=30

    So:

    30 = (3/5) x

    150=3x

    x=150/3

    x=50

    There are 50 members, 30 girls and 20 boys.
