Samantha is making soup. To make the broth, she combines 2/3 cup of vegetable stock and 2/3 cup of chicken stock. Boiling the broth causes 1/4 cup of the liquid to evaporate. How much broth is left after it is boiled.

    2/3 cup + 2/3 cup = 1 1/3 cups

    1 1/3 cups - 1/4 = 1 1/8 cups

    There will be 1 1/8 cups left after the broth has been boiled.
