    Quick way:

    $2.10 is $0.30 less than $2.40 and $0.30 above $1.80, I. E. half-way.

    So the mix is equal amounts, or 17.5 lbs of each.

    General way:

    Let x be the percentage of $1.80 coffee, then 1-x is the percentage of $2.40 coffee.

    To sell at $2.10, we have

    $1.80x+$2.40 (1-x) = $2.10

    Solve for x

    $2.40-$2.10 = ($2.40-$1.80) x

    =>

    x=0.5, (1-x) = 1-0.50=0.5.

    Hence 17.5 lbs of each of $2.40 and $1.80 coffee.
