First: work out the difference (increase) between the two numbers you are comparing.

Increase = New Number - Original Number

    In your case: 960-600=360.

Second: divide the increase by the original number and multiply the answer by 100.

    % increase = Increase : Original Number * 100.

    In your case: % increase = (360:600) * 100=60%

    Answer: correct choice is D.

    C

    Step-by-step explanation:

1 third of 900 is 300. That would mean its 33% for every 300. There's a 360 difference between 960 and 600. Round 960 to 1000 and then the difference would be 400. The percent change would be 40%. Now that's a lot closer to 38% then 60%. So the correct answer is C

The correct answer is C. I don't really understand how you managed to get D. Just but looking at it I can see that its C.
