You buy a game that originally cost $35. It was on sale for 20% off. You paid 6% tax on the sale price. What was the total amount you paid? I know the answer just not the steps to get there.

    Theres probably a formula for this, but just take 35$ *.20 = 7$. (you have you make the percent a decimal) so you take 35-7 = $28, so $28 is the sale price. do the same thing for the tax.

    take $28*.06 = $1.68. so because its tax, you have to add it onto the total.

    28+1.68 = $29.68.

    so if you buy something thats originally 35$, thats on sale for 20% off, but with 6% sales tax, youll be paying $29.68
