Think of two number that when you multiply them they equal - 16 but when you ADD the two exact numbers they equal - 6

The two numbers I am thinking of are - 8 and 2

-8 * 2 = - 16

-8 + 2 = - 6

So our factors are (x - 8) and (x + 2)
