    6-3x=-5x+2

    Add 5x to both sides

    6-3x+5x=2 6-3x+5x=2

    Simplify 6-3x+5x 6-3x+5x to 6+2x

    6+2x=2

    Subtract 6 from both sides

    2x=2-6

    Simplify 2-6 to - 4

    2x=-4

    Divide both sides by 2

    x = - 4/2

    simplify 2/4 to 2

    x=-2
