    The probability of finding 100 defective products in a sample of 500 is

    Probability=[number of ways it can appear]/[total number of outcomes]

    number of ways an event can appear=100

    total number of outcomes=500

    Thus

    P (100) = 100/500=1/5~0.2

    but

    0.2=20%

    Hence The statement is False:

    Answer: False
