If you are finding the probability of the marbles being drawn that are pink are orange you first find the total: 28. Then you find the the amount of marbles that are either pink or orange; in this case its 17. Finally you take the amount of pink and orange marbles and divde it by the total amount

    17+7+4 = 28

    Pink or orange marbles

    17+7 = 24

    Probability

    28/28=.857

or 86% chance that a marble being drawn is pink or orange
