    (4k+2) (k-2) / (k^2-4) (2k+1)

    =2 (2k+1) (k-2) / (k^2-2^2) (2k+1)

    Cancel out 2k+1

    2 (k-2) / (k-2) (k+2) using a^2-b^2 = (a-b) (a+b)

    cancel out k-2

    2/k+2

    Therefore numerator is 2
