    We have a quadratic equation that has two zeros. By adding 3, we eliminate the shifting down of - 3, y=2 (x+3) ^2-3 + (3) = 2 (x+3) ^2. Now the equation will have one zero:

    y=2 (xt3) ^2

    0=2 (xt3) ^2

    0/2 = (2 (xt3) ^2) / 2

    0 = (x+3) ^2

    0 = (x+3) (x+3)

    0=x+3

    0-3=x+3-3

    x=-3
