The diameter of ball bearings produced in a manufacturing process can be explained using a uniform distribution over the interval 3.5 to 5.5 mm. what is the probability that a randomly selected ball bearing has a diameter greater than 4.4 mm

    The answer is 0.55.

    We can calculate this as;

    P (x>4.4) = (5.5-4.4) / (5.5-3.5)

    = 1.1 / 2

    P (x>4.4) = 0.55
