Abe, a plumber, charges $50 per hour plus $75 for making an in-home visit. The Plumbing Service charges $65 per hour but no set fee for a visit. How many hours of plumbing work are needed for each to cost the same?

    50+75 = 125$

    125 divided by 65 = 1.92

    1.92 rounds up to 2, so it would take approximately 2 hours.

    If you need to find an exact number then we need to find a number greater than 125 that both 50 and 65 can fit into.

    125 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 = 325

    325 divided by 65 = 5

    So it would take 4 hours of work with Abe to cost 325 and 5 hours of work with the other service.
