As Mercury revolves around the sun, it travels at a rate of approximately 30 miles per second. Convert this rate to miles per minute. At this rate, how many miles will Mercury travel in 4 minutes?

    30 miles per second times 60 seconds = 1,800 miles per minute.

    To find out for 4 minutes, now we multiply 1,800 miles times 4 which = 7,200 miles.
