In the formula Distance = Rate x Time, what relationship exists between rate and time in order to keep the distance value constant?

    Xy=k, whenever the product of two variables is a constant it is called inverse variation. This is an inverse relationship, intuitively because, as the value of one variable increases, the other decreases and vice versa.

    It is easy to spot as xy=k or y=k/x.
