    X^2 + 12x = - 6

    x^2 + 12 x + 6^2 = - 6 + 6^2

    (x + 6) ^2 = - 6 + 36

    (x + 6) ^2 = 30

In the first step I had to add 6^2 = 36. The answer is option B. 36.
