If the negative number is greater than the positive number value. Furthermore, in the basic rule of integers the one that carries the sign of the number has always to be bigger in value.

    Example:

    1. 2 - 3 = - 1. 2. 10 + ( - 8) + ( - 11) = - 9. 3. - 6 + 3 = - 3.
