A paint can holds 2.5 litres. (1 litre=1000cm^3)

The height is 15cm. What is the radius of the can?

    The volume of the can = area x height

    2500 = pi*r^2 * 15

    r^2 = (2500) / (pi*15)

    r = √ ((2500) / (pi*15))

    r = 6.86 cm

    the radius of the can is 6.68 cm
