    Using the linearization in this data through the calculator program, we plug in the production in y and the year in x column. The equation is equal to y = 2053x + 39759. Hence after 25 years at 2025, production is y = (2053) (25) + 39759 = 91084. To reach 100,000 metric tons, 100000 = 2053x + 39759, we need x years equal to 29.3 years, hence on year 2029.
