A tennis ball hit from the ground level into the air. Its height above the ground at the time can be modeled by the function h (t) = - 16t² + 160t. The height, h, is measured in feet above the ground and the time, t, is measured in seconds after the ball is hit. How long is the ball in the air?

    H (t) = - 16t^2 + 160t

    The ball is in the air after t=0 and when it hits the ground again at

    0 = - 16t^2 + 160t

    16t^2 = 160t

    t = 0 and 10 shows the ball is in the air 10 seconds ...
