A dealer bought 3 gross buttons at $.38 a dozen. He sold the buttons at 5 cents each. How much was his profit per gross? (12 dozen equals one gross)

    3 gross = 12 doz. * 3 = 36 doz. * 12 = 432 buttons.

    432 *. 05 = $ 21.60

    sold for $21.60

    Paid $13.68

    21.60 - 13.68 = $7.32
