The distance from Town A to Town B on a map is 6 inches. The actual distance from Town B to Town C is 12 miles. The scale on the map is 1 in: 4 mi. Determine if each statement is True or False.

The actual distance from A to B is 24 mi.

The distance from B to C on the map is 36 in.

The actual distance from A to C is 4.5 mi.

    True since each inch is 4 miles you time 6 by 4

    false it says it is 12 miles so you divide that by 4 to get the inches

    false if A to B is 24 and B to C is 12 miles there is clearly much more then 4 miles between A and C
