    2 (x+6) + 6 = 3 (x+5) + 7

    2 (6=x) + 6 = 3 (5+x) + 7

    (6*2+x*2) + 6 = (3*x+x*3)

    (12+2x) + 6 = (3*x+5) + 7

    12+6+2x = 3 (x+5) + 7

    12+6-18

    18+2x = 3 (x+5) + 7

    18+2x = 3x+15+7

    18+2x=3x+22

    -2x - 2x

    18=x+22

    -22 - 22

    -4=x
