How do I find the answer to 8/11 = 4/y+2?

You can solve it like this:
8/11 = 4/y+2
4/y+2=8/11
Move the two to the other side of the equation.
4/y=8/11-22/11
4/y=-14/11
-14/11y=4
y=-22/7
