The measure of an angle is fourteen times the measure of a complementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?

    Here, we need to set up an equation. So since the two angles need to add up to 90, and x will represent the angle, the initial equation will look like this. x=90-x. When you plugin the 14, it will look like x=14 (90-x) and that gives you x=1490-14x. Add the 14x to the left and it becomes 15x=1490. Divide by 15 and you get x=84. That is the first angle. Now, we subtract 84 from 90 and we get 6. therefore the angles are 84 and 6 degrees.
