Are horizontal and vertical cross sections of a pyramid the same?

The vertical cross sections are the same shape, as are the horizontal cross sections. They are not the same size. Vertical cross sections are larger as the cross section approaches the apex. Horizontal cross sections are smaller as they approach the apex.
