    Starting with the equation:

    x + (1/x) = 4/3

    multiply with x

    x^2 + 1 = (4/3) x

    multiply with 3:

    3x^2 + 3 = 4x

transfer 4x to the left side of the equation:

    3x^2 - 4x + 3 = 0
